🛎️ Zekai Challenge · Hospitality & Tourism Edition

From zero to AI master.
30 days. 5 minutes a day.

Almost every property is already using AI, and four in ten have written nothing down about it. Your product is not a room — it is how someone felt while they were with you. One 5-minute drill a day, with the rule that keeps automation out of the moment guests actually remember.

Free forever · No app to install · Built on the Zekai Audit of 1,900+ tested AI tools

The Saturation

0%

of hoteliers used AI in their operations in the last six months.

It is already involved in 11 of the 19 most common hotel tasks and handles more than half the workload in them. This is not an emerging technology in hospitality. It is the current operating system.

The Line

0%

say the welcome and check-in must stay human-led.

The finding is strongest at the properties already using AI most heavily. The operators furthest into automation are the most certain about exactly where it should stop.

The Gap

0%

have no formal AI policy at all.

Near-total adoption, and four in ten running with nothing written down about what staff may use, what guest data may be entered, or who reads it before it reaches a guest.

The plan is simple.

No course platform. No 6-hour videos. A daily drill you run in any AI assistant — built around real guests and real numbers, and around the rule that separates the preparation from the moment.

Day 30 has a trophy.

Finish the challenge and earn the Zekai Certificate of Completion — proof you didn’t just read about AI, you practised it for a month. Type your name. Go on.

Certificate of completion of an educational challenge — not a professional certification and not issued by any industry body. But it looks good on LinkedIn.

Questions before you start

Is this really free?
Yes. Zekai is an independent AI tools directory — the challenge is how we introduce people to the tools we test. Some tool pages contain affiliate links; the challenge itself costs nothing and requires no purchase.
Won’t automating guest contact make us feel impersonal?
That is exactly the risk, and day 6 is built around it. The rule this edition rests on is that AI does the preparation and never the moment: everything the guest does not experience directly is fair territory, and the sixty seconds they actually remember is not. Hoteliers agree — 59% say the welcome and check-in should stay human-led, and that conviction is strongest at the properties already using AI most heavily.
Can I use AI to write review responses?
Yes, with two absolute rules from day 10. Never publish a response you have not read end to end — reused openings across replies are the clearest sign to a prospective guest that nobody is reading them. And never generate a review, a testimonial, or anything presented as coming from a guest. Fake reviews are unlawful in many jurisdictions and carry real penalties.
Can I put guest details into ChatGPT?
No. Names, room numbers, booking references, payment details and anything about an identifiable guest do not go into an external tool. Every drill that touches guest content carries an instruction to strip identifying details first, and day 27 has you write your own policy — which matters, because 41% of hoteliers report having no formal AI policy at all.
We’re a small independent, not a chain. Is this for us?
Particularly. Most of the drills are about decisions independents make alone and chains have departments for: what a cover actually costs, whether a channel is worth its commission, how to price a high-demand date, how to train someone in a week. Day 14 and day 28 are built specifically around the advantage a small property has and usually wastes.
Why can’t I see all 30 drills at once?
Because binge-reading builds nothing. The challenge unlocks one drill per day from the day you sign — the way any skill gets built: daily reps. Day 1 is open right now so you can try it before committing.
Do I need any AI experience?
Zero. Day 1 assumes you have never written a deliberate prompt. By day 15 you will understand what should actually drive a rate change, which is worth more than any tool.
What if I miss a day?
Life happens, and so does a full house. The challenge is sequential, not strict-daily. Pick up where you left off; the certificate cares that you finish all 30, not that you were perfect.
I work in a different profession. Is there a challenge for that?
This is the Hospitality & Tourism Edition. Doctors, lawyers, accountants, teachers, marketers, students, real estate agents, HR, customer support, finance, personal productivity, compliance and farming are already running theirs, with more coming. Sign up and we’ll tell you when yours goes live.
