Not the part clients are actually paying for. Production has become cheap; judgement has not. This challenge is built around the work no machine does for you: interrogating a vague brief, deciding what a piece is really claiming, verifying a source, choosing between four defensible translations of an untranslatable line, and putting your name to the result. Where the writing itself is the point — voice, argument, craft — the machine remains a competent, weightless colleague. What changes is what you charge for, which is day 25.

Installed on day 6, and every other drill in the month is an application of it. For any text you deliver you must be able to answer four questions without hesitating: which words are yours, which came from a machine, where each checkable fact came from, and whose name is on the line if it is wrong. It is a craft standard first. It is also, since 2 August 2026, the exact shape of the exemption in EU law — the disclosure duty for AI-generated text falls away where the content has been through human review or editorial control and a person holds editorial responsibility for it.

It depends on what you publish and where, and this is not legal advice. The EU rule is narrow: it applies to text published to inform the public on matters of public interest, and it does not apply where a person has done real editorial work and holds editorial responsibility. Most commissioned writing and translation sits outside it or inside the exemption. Your client contract, your publisher and your professional body may ask for more than the law does. Day 24 has you write the statement once, in your own words, so you are never answering the question on the spot.

Day 23 is about exactly this. When seven commercial detectors were tested on essays written under supervised exam conditions by non-native English speakers, more than 61% of that genuinely human writing was classified as AI-generated, while native-speaker essays were judged almost perfectly. Plain style and second-language writing are what these tools get wrong. You cannot disprove the accusation with another detector — you answer it with the record you kept while working. That is why day 6 comes seventeen days before day 23.

Because binge-reading builds nothing. The challenge unlocks one drill per day from the day you sign — the way any skill gets built: daily reps. Day 1 is open right now so you can try it before committing.

Zero. Day 1 assumes you have never written a deliberate prompt. By day 6 you will have a provenance record you can hand to a client.

Life happens, and so does an unplanned stop. The challenge is sequential, not strict-daily. Pick up where you left off; the certificate cares that you finish all 30, not that you were perfect.
